Megan Williams Whyte

About

I moved from the Washington DC area to Florida at the end of 2004 to start my business, Nutmeg Design. Offering freelance and contractual web & graphic design support to corporations helping them meet, and usually exceed, their business goals.

Prior to founding Nutmeg Design, I worked as the lead Welcome Experience designer for AOL, which at it’s height the AOL Welcome Screen had over 30 million unique visitors daily. When you heard those famous words “You’ve Got Mail” between 2001–2004 you were looking at one of my screens.

My career started at Johns Hopkins University in the Design & Publications department as their first web designer co-creating the University’s first online presence, and many of the first web pages for the University’s departments. As well as a vast number of recruitment pieces, department brochures, and fund raising campaigns.

I currently reside outside of Tampa, Florida with my husband and two sons.
